Another newbie..frozen Affogato from Kitchenette Plaza Indonesia...at first I was amazed with the heavy cream on top..but the cream turned out to be so light and delicate...a perfect combination to the affogato...for whatever that means!

Tumpeng Wish

Braga Strolling
I always want to have a strolling around Braga Street Bandung. This may not be the fanciest place to spend your Bandung getaway but I know I will enjoy it.
Finally last weekend, on a warm saturday, we began the journey..me,the hubby and kiddos.
First stop was Sumber Hidangan..my mom always brought me here for their perfect bokkepoot, a finger size meringue choco coated. The interior,the chair, the jars, ahh..it looks the same!
The second stop was Braga Permai restaurant. The kiddos are the definite picky eaters. First, I was a bit reluctant to stay longer for lunch. But the foods were amazing and the kiddos ended up having their second pizzas order...for one Dutch style beef steak, one yummy large fried rice, two big pizzas with pepperoni and sausages, two milkshakes, and four slices of onbitkoek for my mom, all I need to pay was less than 180 thousands rupiah..It's a worthy place to go..
Next stop was Asia Africa Conference Museum down on the corner..the place is clean and organized and one thing for sure it's for free..well, I did not mind to pay some as this was a quite fulfilling experience for my kiddos..they were amazed with the non-digital phone and typewriter!
If the kiddos were not that tired, I'd like to sip my espresso on the Sidewalk Cafe at Savoy Homann Hotel just across the museum. Hmmm, I had my wedding ceremony there almost 12 years back and I remembered I insisted to take my wedding pictures in front of the stack of coffee jars in front of the cafe...haha,it makes me wondering...am I that old back then?

Gandys Bakery
Back from lunch around Menteng and grab bakery from my fave oldiest cake shop - Gandys Menteng...don't think about the vintage look from the outside...the oldiest shop is always giving you a warm feeling and they have a nice sugar-coated cheese bread..yum yum!

Homemade Label
I had to confess...I am not good in selling. So if my besties ordered my homemade nuggets,cordon bleu or cheesy cheese potato for their kiddos, I dunno how to price..it just has to be yummy, yummy and yummy...
After a while, I learnt that unlike a dictionary which is quite standard, yummy is about taste... yummy is about perception. Nothing is general, nothing is perfect.
When it comes to food, it's just about taste. One could be different to others.
It challenged me to explore and thankfully, the feedback was always relieving. The kiddos loved it. Even for the picky eater, my homemade always be the savior.....

Kedai Bang Razali
It's been sitting on my Ipad quite sometimes, a newbie on my culinary library...Lontong Medan ala Kedai Kopi Bang Razali at the Rest Area KM 39 on my way to Bandung...spicy and rich, not too heavy for an early breakfast...They do have also Roti Canai and Teh or Kopi Tarik to try...Yum!

Cheesy Cheese Potato
My Rhumchoco cheesy cheese potato. Cut the potato into your likeable size - I always cut into finger size - steam for a while, and mixed with grated parmesan cheese, flour, eggs and last, the bread crumb..
Its my mom's recipe...originally, she doesn't peel off the skin potato..but me sometimes choose to make it skinless..Yummy!

A Cook's Tour
One of my favorite show in Asian Food Channel is A Cook's Tour.
It is Anthony Bourdain who is so passionate to travel around more than a dozen countries in a search for the exotic and perfect meal. When it said perfect meal, it is nothing perfect. One thing I admired that he could eat anything...note : anything.....from a liver pate, an African-style cooking, a heart of a cobra, into a delicious fine dining gourmet. He blends with the native to eat, talk and enjoy the meals....nothing pretentious!
I wish I could be like him!

Pinata to Order
My Rhumchoco Pinata for my in law bestie. It was completed within a day for a rush order and I was a bit sad for the result....the head and the face were not perfectly fit as I could imagine..well, does Spongebob actually have a head?
I am crossing my finger that my in law bestie will love it, in any case...please please please? No defense this is my 2nd timer...I still need to practise!
